Mauna lani honu health assessment August 27/2025
Laura Jim, Robyn Scarth and Marc Rice were joined by 6 American Samoan wildlife biologests and an enforcement officer who were interested in learning how the HPA STRP team conducts in water capture work, data gathering, tagging and recording during a honu health assessment. During the day, HPA student researchers assisted the operation and shared stories with our guests from American Samoa. During the day we were able to capture and process 8 honu.
