Annual Charity Walk-2026

Hawaiʻi Island Charity Walk - 2026

  • The Hawaiʻi Island Charity Walk is a massive, single-day fundraising event that brings the local community and visitor industry together to support island-based non-profits. Traditionally held each May at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, this family-friendly morning is filled with food, live entertainment, and exercise. Hyper-Local Impact: All funds raised on Hawaiʻi Island stay on the island to benefit local charities ranging from food banks and schools to organizations like Habitat for Humanity.  Since its inception on the island in 1979, the walk has raised over $5.6 million for the community.
Participants enjoy a festive atmosphere featuring a silent auction, keiki (children) activities, and numerous food stations hosted by local hotels and resorts.  Five HPA student volunteers and three HPA faculty members hosted a booth on sea turtle research and conservation and a booth on community cleanup by the Keep Puako Beautiful organization.
