Mauna Lani Turtle Independence Day 2023
The 2023 Turtle Independence Day celebration took place on July 4th, a beautiful, sunny day with a nice cooling onshore breeze. The HPA Sea Turtle Research Program students and administrators joined the Mauna Lani Auberge Resort staff on July 3 to weigh and measure the two honu being released. On July 4th the team manned an informational booth about sea turtles. Zane volunteered on both days and Charlotte came on July 4th. Both students did a wonderful job helping with the measuring and answering visitors questions. There help was very much appreciated by everyone.
