The VIDEO ABOVE WAS PRODUCED BY Sylvia-
Laura Jim, Robyn Scarth and Marc Rice were joined by 12 HPA STRP student research volunteers to conduct in water capture work, data gathering, tagging and recording during a honu health assessment at 92 Puako Beach Road. During the day we were able to capture and process 14 honu. Nine honu were recaptures and 5 were first time captures. During the day we were joined by Rosanne Shank and George Balazs for a short visit. The weather was great and we were able to conduct our work safely and efficiently!
A special thanks to HPA alum Ava Williams for allowing us access to her beach front to carry out our health assessment and to all the wonderful HPA STRP student research volunteers for their hard work!
